About Katie

Inviting balance into being.

Katie Strohbehn

I love being a massage therapist. It feels like what I am supposed to be doing in my life. I have enjoyed practicing massage in a variety of settings from Physical Therapy and chiropractic offices working with clients to recover from injuries, to retreat centers where people are focused on connecting with themselves and the world more fully. I believe that massage is a powerful way to influence the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of our being and I am honored to get to encourage well-being and balance in myself and the people I get to work with through this practice.

I grew up in Bellingham, Washington. At 19 I launched out of my hometown and started exploring. I had the pleasure of calling Hawaii home for much of my 20’s and 30’s, living on both Maui and Hawaii Island. The land and culture of Hawaii influenced me greatly and are deeply nestled into my heart. I got to spend 6 years sailing and working on the water while living in the Caribbean. Life was richly aquatic during this time, I loved spending most of my days and nights on or in the water interacting with the life above and below the surface. In 2019 I returned to the Pacific NW to be closer to family and to further get to know the land where my roots got started. I have a deep appreciation for nature and how we are a part of it. When I’m not massaging I am usually out in the woods getting to know the life around me. I have a growing passion for macro photography which is introducing me to the small life that is abundant in every square inch. I continue to love the water and with the help of an 8 mm wetsuit, I snorkel the coastlines and kelp beds with my husband and have delighted in getting to know the underwater environments of the Salish Sea.
