Integrative Massage

PAIN RELIEF • STRESS RELIEF & RELAXATION • EMOTIONAL WELL BEING • INJURY RECOVERY • THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

Katie attended the Maui School of Therapeutic Massage in 2008 which gave her a strong foundation in Structural Bodywork. She went on to study Zen Shiatsu with TJ Frank which focuses on the psychological aspects of the meridians and how to move energy within these pathways. Through this practice, she was introduced to the perspectives of the Five Element Theory and Traditional Chinese Medicine. These perspectives altered the way she looks at the body and all bodywork sessions get filtered through this lens. She studied Lomi Lomi with Jeana Naluai and loves to include the nourishing influence of this heart-centered practice that connects to elements of nature and the ocean’s rhythms. These 3 styles of bodywork make up the foundational elements of her practice. She has continued to take educational courses throughout her career that focus on different treatment techniques for the body. Each massage is custom-tailored to meet the needs of each client. It is through careful listening to each person and what their body says throughout the session that she decides how to massage. She draws on a diverse range of modalities to meet you where you are in the moment.

“Katie is an incredible massage therapist. Her massage is the rare, but sought after mix of effective and, when necessary, deep pressure while still being sensitive and nurturing. In many massages I tend to get one or the other, but Katie seamlessly blends these elements. Her therapeutic knowledge is apparent, through her ability to actually release and relax tension. Thank you Katie, for such a holistic healing experience.”
